The mobile bypass operation truck mainly consists of a truck chassis, an enclosure, tool racks, and an automatic cable handling system. It is capable of storing, transporting, and automatically laying and retrieving 900 meters of 10 kV high‑voltage flexible cable. The vehicle can work in coordination with mobile substation vehicles and mobile ring main unit (RMU) vehicles, and is widely used in live‑line bypass operation projects.

The deploying mechanism can accommodate up to 18 reels of bypass cable (50 meters per reel, totaling 900 meters) and enables simultaneous, coaxial automatic paying out and taking up of cable reels in groups of three.
A dedicated tool cabinet rack is provided to make full and rational use of the compartment space. Tools are stored in fixed positions within the tool cabinet using specialized tooling fixtures and molded retainers to prevent mutual impact and vibration damage during transport.
