Through research on insulated short stick working methods, our company, in collaboration with NGK of Japan, has developed a complete solution for live-line replacement of tension insulators using insulated short sticks. By properly coordinating various insulated short stick tools, the entire operation can be carried out using the bucket-mounted short stick working method, reducing complex and repetitive insulation shielding work. This keeps line workers away from hazardous high-voltage positions, maintains safe working distances, and improves the safety and reliability of live-line work.

The complete set of equipment is easy to operate and lightweight. The stick body is made of FRP (fiber-reinforced polymer), which offers excellent high-voltage insulation properties and high strength. The insulated short stick operation keeps line workers away from high-voltage conductors while meeting the safe distance requirements for live-line work. The tools can be used in coordination to replace different fittings for flexible operation, largely achieving the feature of "one tool, multiple uses".
